About Us

Our Lion’s Club

Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford Lions Club are part of the International Association of Lions Clubs. Lions are members of community service clubs, dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in a community are in the best position to know who needs help and why.

This local club is part of the world’s largest service organisation Lions Clubs International, and falls within the multiple district of British Isles and Ireland. Details about worldwide number of members, countries and territories served and the number of Lions Clubs and other Lions facts can be found here.

The association is both non-political and non-sectarian. The LIONS’ motto is “WE SERVE” and its mission statement reads:

“To create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international co-operation”

Our aim is to help the less fortunate in our society with our activities concentrating on the needs of the local community. We raise money for local, national and international projects and participate in service activities to all age groups. In addition to assisting others, we organise various social events for our members and have fun.

The NP & S Lions Club was formed in October 1969 and welcomes both male and female members. The running costs of the Lions Club are met by subscriptions paid by the members, so all monies raised from the public are used for charitable purposes.

NPSLions Club Charity Trust Fund is a registered charity, number 281285
